About Us

The “Hot Seat” began its inception in 2003 and soon emerged as an ultimate urban media radio show. Its founders, the outrageous King Tuck, and mellow straight talking Bam, were co-workers that turned their every day roundtable rant about celebrities, sports, and just about anything else, into an entertainment feast for the average metro listener. The “Hot Seat” went live in 2009 on Atlanta’s WATB 1420/WGFS 1430, a multicultural radio station that could capture their unique spin on current events, politics, and pop culture. Every Thursday evening an hour was just long enough for these two gentleman to morph typical talk radio into a hilarious, insightful blend of conversation and urban philosophy.

Their trailblazing soon paid off and ignited the creation of a spin off show called the “Hot Seat Takeover Show”. This live televised program premiered in 2010 and is playfully called an “Urban Variety Show”. Each episode the Hot Seat’s fun loving co-hosts bring up and coming music artists, models, comedians, and a multitude of other entertainers right into the homes and laptops of its fans. As their success grows so has the diversity of its’ guests. King Tuck and Bam have plucked some of the most interesting characters right from the local metro community to star on their show. The Hot Seat Takeover Show has a little bit of every thing for every body. One fan says, “You never know who is next in the hot seat, but whether you are a home boy or you live in a high rise, both shows are always fun and entertaining ”.

Their mission to build bridges between the famous and the every day man is mastered with ease. So be sure to check out what’s smoking next in THE HOT SEAT!

King Tuck:
Over the top and outlandish, accurately describes King Tuck. This native of Ohio has resided in the Atlanta for more than 25 years and is known for speaking his mind on the spot. He holds a BS in Business and some would say a PhD is “Sh*t Talking”. In fact, if you ask the right crowd they may even say his talk and radio show personality is a royal pain in the “you know what”. However, King Tuck gets to the truth by any means necessary. His antics resemble a dynamic fusion of the popular Howard Stern and Big Tigger from the Basement. He is a true fan of the under dog and uses the show as an opportunity to shed light on conversations that typically make some uneasy, but educates the masses. His ingenious blend of what they call on the Hot Seat as “real talk” and humor is dynamic and addictive to witness. He always strives for the best and lives by his favorite quote “F.R.E” which stands for Fair, Right, and Equal. Sit down in front of the microphone next to the King and you are sure to see just how he got his throne.

Bam:
The more reserved half the of the Hot Seat duo lives up to his name by being the low rumbling spark that ignites into a big explosion. Often seen as the strong silent type, you can’t judge the heat by the flame. Bam puts a sonic BOOM into the Hot Seat air waves with his baritone voice and incessant need to speak freely when spoken to. This genuine Georgia native truly knows how to set the Hot Seat on fire, as he unleashes the very thing we all were thinking, aloud for everyone to ponder. For him, the show is a way for the quiet in us all to stand up and shout. He is undeniably a sports and music fanatic and believes in bringing the smoldering pain to its moguls when deserved. If you ask what motivates him he would probably say “Either stand in line with everyone else, or get in front and start your own line”. Be prepared when you tune in to the “Big Bam Theory” because for him the Hot Seat is where urban media for the people began.
